Position: Director - Financial Due Diligence

RSM is looking for a Director to join our Financial Due Diligence team within our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) practice. In this role, you will work with our award-winning Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) Advisory practice, servicing both corporate and private equity clients. Our services include assisting clients with readiness and diligence pre-close, transaction integration, and execution. Our team comprises experienced professionals providing buy-side and sell-side financial, technology, and operational diligence services and advice.

Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage multiple financial due diligence engagements related to acquisitions and divestitures involving private equity and strategic buyers/sellers.
  2. Develop and deliver high-quality planning approaches with responsive services that meet or exceed client expectations.
  3. Utilize business development skills to expand transaction advisory services.
  4. Identify new business opportunities and enhance go-to-market strategies.
  5. Lead teams, set vision, motivate staff, foster trust, leverage diverse views, and provide coaching.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Approximately 10 years of relevant work experience, including at least 5 years in financial due diligence.
  • Proven success in building and growing a Transaction Advisory Service Practice.
  • Big Four or similar consulting experience.
  • Experience working with private equity groups.
  • Experience in developing and supervising staff.
  • Strong industry knowledge and success in professional services or large consultancy environments.
  • Ability to develop client relationships and understand client businesses.
  • Up-to-date industry knowledge in Transaction and Advisory Services and Private Equity.
  • High integrity and confidentiality.
  • Ability to travel up to 10-15% domestically and nationally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA certification.
  • Master’s degree.

Salary range: $151,200 - $304,200. Compensation includes a discretionary bonus based on performance.
