Cleaning And Restoration Technician – Job Summary
Assist in retaining customers by fulfilling the company’s obligations through the timely and effective delivery of restoration services.
Responsibilities
- Effectively perform Carpet & Floor Cleaning and Restoration services the company offers. Opportunities exist to earn Mold Mitigation; Fire & Water Damage Restoration certifications and experience quickly. Compensation levels reflect experience, and hourly rate increases as experience and certifications are gained. Commissions are possible on top of hourly rate.
- Complete appropriate cleaning and restoration documentation and authorizations.
- Communicate effectively with customers.
- Perform basic equipment maintenance.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance.
- Inspect completed work.
- Complete the technician’s daily log and work orders.
- Maintain appearance and stock of tools, materials, and supplies for company vehicles; maintain inventory of related supplies.
- Willing to learn and work with the newest equipment and technology in the industry.
- Willing to hold self and others accountable for maintaining company standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education and Experience: High school diploma (or GED).
- Mathematical Skills: Adequate math skills; ability to determine appropriate equipment type and number of units.
- Computer Skills: Basic proficiency in using computers, email, and portable devices to report and record daily activity.
- 1 year of floor cleaning experience preferred, and/or experience in specialty cleaning (e.g., Stripping & Waxing Commercial Space Flooring, Air Duct Cleaning, Tile and Grout Cleaning, Upholstery Cleaning, etc.).
- Highly Desired: Certificates from the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC).
- Carpet Cleaning Technician (CCT) certification preferred but not required.
- Opportunities to advance into: Water Damage Restoration Technician (WRT), Applied Microbial Remediation Technician (AMRT), Applied Structural Drying Technician (ASD), Mold Remediation Specialist (MRS), Fire and Smoke Damage Restoration Technician (FSRT).
