Overview

The Temporary Cleaning & Maintenance Technician (CMT) is responsible for janitorial maintenance, assisting with physical labor that primarily involves hands-on tasks at each NATIVE HEALTH site, clinic, i.e., the building, offices, and clinical spaces. The position will require assisting with minor janitorial maintenance and repair of facility equipment. The individual should be motivated with high customer service standards and excellent communication skills, and demonstrate cooperative behavior with supervisors, subordinates, colleagues, clients, and the community.

Responsibilities

  • Work with supervisor on setting priorities by performing routine cleaning tasks at each facility, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing restrooms, as needed.
  • Manage supplies: ensure dispensers (soap, toilet tissue, paper towels) are restocked and operational. Wipe down walls, toilets, sinks, bathroom stalls and doors with disinfectants daily as needed.
  • Clean glass windows and dust weekly or as needed.
  • Clean and wipe walls, doorknobs and doors with disinfectants weekly and as needed. Document activity by signing log sheets as needed.
  • Move furniture as needed and ensure it is properly anchored. Set up tables and chairs for meetings and special events as needed.
  • Maintain and repair facilities equipment. Address issues with maintenance equipment in a timely manner.
  • Groundskeeping tasks include keeping sidewalks clean and free of debris, emptying trash receptacles on the property, and trimming shrubs and trees as needed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent AND six months of work experience related to the position.
  • Flexible days and hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Valid and unrestricted Arizona driver’s license (within 30 days if applicant is from out-of-state) with no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions in the last five years. No more than two at-fault accidents in the last three years. Must maintain a valid license during employment and be insurable under NATIVE HEALTH’s liability auto policy.
  • Must pass a criminal background check and obtain a Class I Fingerprint Clearance Card within the initial ninety (90) calendar days of employment and retain a valid card during employment.
  • Must pass substance abuse testing upon employment and submit to random testing during employment.
  • Must provide an updated immunization (IZ) record at the time of employment.
  • Must have a current (within 12 months) TB skin test or report upon employment and provide an annual update.
  • Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 calendar days of employment and maintain certification during employment.
