Job Summary and Responsibilities
Summary: An RF Engineer IV is responsible for leading and overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the radio frequency (RF) components of communication systems. They ensure systems meet quality, reliability, and performance standards, while mentoring and managing a team of RF engineers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES include:
- RF Design Leadership: lead the RF design process, including designing radio transmitters, receivers, and antennas to meet specifications.
- Lead RAN network design activities, including macro, small cell, and in-building systems, utilizing Atoll, ACP, and Monte Carlo simulations.
- Network Planning Leadership: oversee planning and optimization of network design for maximum coverage and capacity.
- Spectrum Analysis Leadership: lead spectrum and interference analysis to ensure optimal network performance.
- Performance Monitoring Leadership: monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and identify improvements.
- Project Management Leadership: manage RF engineering projects, ensuring timely and within-budget completion.
- Testing and Validation Leadership: lead testing of RF components to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Mentoring and Management: guide and develop a team of RF engineers.
- Collaboration and Communication: work with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Overall, the RF Engineer IV plays a critical role in ensuring the performance and reliability of communication systems through technical expertise, leadership, and collaboration.

- Comply with OSHA regulations, industry standards, and company safety policies.
- Participate in safety and hazard analyses at job sites.
Qualifications
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and/or QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related; Master’s preferred.
- 7-10 years of RF design, analysis, and testing experience.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, ADS, HFSS, and RF test equipment.
- Experience with databases, scripting, FCC/FAA filings, and site compliance.
- iBwave certification and experience with in-building and CRAN design preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
- Knowledge of Ericsson OEM equipment and network configurations.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, attention to detail, leadership, and project management skills.
- Certifications such as CWNP or NI CLD are a plus; security clearances may be required for some projects.

Must be able to interpret technical documents, respond to inquiries, and present information effectively. Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions is essential.

Pay Range in the United States: $110K - $170K, depending on location, skills, and experience. Performance incentives may also be available.
