WestGate Church, a non-denominational, multi-congregational church located in the diverse and influential Silicon Valley, is seeking an energetic and skilled Director of Finance to oversee the Finance Department. This full-time position (Monday-Friday), with occasional work on Saturdays, Sundays, and evenings, offers the opportunity to provide exceptional financial oversight and stewardship for the church staff and congregation.

Position Details

• Reports to: Executive Director of Operations
• Classification: Full-time, Salary range: $65K-$90K

Responsibilities

• Prepare and conduct financial reviews at the executive and ministry levels.
• Support budgeting processes in coordination with department leads.
• Manage finance processes and technology including Ramp, Sage Intacct, and Planning Center.
• Review donations and initiate stock sales using proper tools.
• Ensure accuracy of accounting records and approve reconciliations.
• Create finance dashboards and reports.
• Develop SOPs and provide ad hoc financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with policies and IRS regulations.
• Support the annual audit process.

Professional Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (5+ years in finance/accounting).
• Proficient in analyzing complex documents and managing multiple priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience with finance systems and tools like Google Suite, Sage Intacct, Microsoft Office, Pivot Tables, and formulas.
