Partnership Tax Manager
Venture capital firm is currently seeking a Partnership Tax Manager to oversee tax and accounting for various entities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational, communication, and technical skills, with a keen eye for detail, accuracy, and the ability to work independently within a team environment.
The finance team, supporting the venture capital firm and its managing directors' families, comprises twenty-two members, including the CFO and six directors.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review income tax returns for various partnerships.
- Plan and prepare quarterly income tax estimates and annual extensions for partnerships.
- Review general ledger accounting for partnerships quarterly.
- Research tax-related issues.
- Respond to tax notices.
- Assist the Director of Accounting and Director of Finance with special projects as needed.
- Collaborate with the CFO and Director of Finance to develop quarterly forecasting systems for portfolio companies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics; CPA preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience preparing partnership tax returns, preferably in venture capital, private equity, or alternative investments.
- Proficiency in CCH Axcess, ProSystems fx Tax, CCH Workpaper Manager is a plus.
- Strong skills in Adobe and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and technical skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly motivated.
- Self-starter capable of working with minimal supervision in a team setting.
