TAS - M&A Tax Director

The Transaction Advisory Services - M&A Tax Director is a key team member responsible for collaborating with transaction advisory partners to expand the practice. The role involves leading teams in traditional large firm M&A tax consulting, including deal structuring, due diligence, post-deal integration, tax attribute management, and other specialized projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• J.D., LL.M. in Taxation, or Master’s in Taxation (MST) from an accredited institution is strongly preferred.

Experience

• At least nine (9) years of relevant experience, including a minimum of five (5) years in TAS.
• Previous supervisory experience is required.

License/Certifications

• CPA license and/or J.D. are preferred.

Software Skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite is required.

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Experience managing multiple client engagements and teams.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to articulate complex information, especially during negotiations.
• Technical competence across US federal, international, and state income tax disciplines.
• Working knowledge of non-income-based federal, state, and foreign tax regimes, including indirect, payroll, property, and ad valorem taxes.
• Understanding of US GAAP and income tax accounting principles.
• Experience with tax controversy and procedure.
• Willingness and ability to travel as needed.
