Meta designs, builds, leases, and operates innovative data centers worldwide. The role involves locating, developing, and managing data center infrastructure to ensure high uptime, capacity, flexibility, and cost efficiency. We seek an experienced, organized, and collaborative Site Selection Manager with extensive negotiation experience and knowledge of legal agreements. Domestic travel (50%+) is required.

Responsibilities:

• Develop Meta’s data center location strategy and manage site selection efforts, collaborating with teams on incentives, utilities, connectivity, legal, policy, and financial considerations.
• Lead feasibility discussions and contract negotiations with service providers, property owners, economic development agencies, and utilities.
• Negotiate letters of intent, land or building purchases, incentives, water and sewer supply, and other agreements; support power negotiations.
• Partner with internal teams including capacity planning, energy, design, construction, legal, and finance.
• Prepare location recommendations and present to management for approval.
• Develop metrics and tracking mechanisms for portfolio management and interact with lease management companies.
• Maintain relationships with communities and service providers, monitor contractual commitments, and support expansion efforts.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Civil Engineering, City Planning, or related field.
• 10+ years in site selection and data center or infrastructure development.
• Experience in real estate negotiations and contract formation.
• Experience representing business interests to government, utilities, and stakeholders.
• Managing large real estate projects and coordinating with internal and external teams.
• Strong communication skills across organizational levels.
• 2+ years proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, or Keynote.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (MBA, law, etc.).
• Experience in hyperscale data center site selection or leasing negotiations.

Meta offers a competitive salary range of $188,000 to $256,000 per year, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Compensation is based on skills, experience, and location.
