POSITION SUMMARY
The Stratton Winter Sports Club Alpine Race Coach position provides modern Alpine race coaching, feedback, and leadership for skiers with the goal helping SWSC athletes develop skills needed for ski racing in a fun , safe, and supportive environment. This is a part-time seasonal position. This position starts at $20.00/hour, with increases based on certifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Execute in-season programming plan put forth by SWSC managers
Maintain excellent guest and employee rapport and ensure customer satisfaction remains at the highest level possible
Prepare and supervise training and competition venues to ensure safety while athletes are training
Maintain the highest safety standards and code compliance for guests and staff daily
Other duties as assigned by management
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Actively pursuing a High School Diploma, or equivalent
Experience:
Previous experience, knowledge, and understanding of US Ski & Snowboard and/or USASA rules and regulations, and venue maintenance required
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS
US Ski & Snowboard and/or USASA membership
Current Safesport, CPR and First Aid and CDC Heads Up Concussion
Additional industry certifications or endorsements would be strongly preferred
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Regular event travel may be required. Reimbursement is given for authorized travel expenses.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
This position requires work on evenings, weekends, and holidays during the winter season.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily with or without reasonable accommodations.
