The Infusion and Day Treatment Program is a specialized outpatient care initiative serving patients from infancy through adulthood. It offers an alternative to inpatient hospitalization for individuals requiring infusion therapies and innovative medical day treatments. The program emphasizes a safe, secure, and family-centered environment, fostering strong, ongoing relationships between patients, families, and a dedicated healthcare team. Therapeutic services offered include, but are not limited to, infusion treatments, food allergy testing, and diagnostic testing.
Key Responsibilities:
Under supervision of a registered nurse, provide basic bedside nursing care, physiological monitoring for patients ranging from infant to your adult in a dynamic outpatient setting.
In collaboration with the RN you will care for patients who are require infusion therapies, diagnostic testing, and food allergy challenges.
You will also be responsible for checking in patients, obtaining heights and weights, obtaining vital signs and oxygen saturation measurements.
You will also work with staff to maintain unit (ordering/stocking) and provide support to patients and families during their infusion or procedure.
This is a progressive nursing assistant role with increasing responsibility for nursing care planning and an opportunity to practice in a family centered environment.
36 hours, rotating days/evenings and every other weekend. Shifts are a mix of 8, 10 and 12 hours.
Hours of the Clinic: Monday-Friday 730-9 pm & Saturday and Sunday from 7:00am-5:30pm.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
A HS Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
1 year CA experience, CAN, MA, EMT or PCT certification, or Nursing Student with at least one clinical rotation.
The ability to: exchange information on factual matters, schedule appointments, greet visitors, explain hospital policies and relay messages to appropriate personnel. This type of interaction requires courtesy and tact when dealing with patients, visitors and/or hospital employees.
Good communication skills.
The ability to work on a team
