Position Overview We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineer with at least 5 years of experience to support our land development and permitting efforts. This role requires proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D, a strong understanding of California permitting processes and CEQA, and the ability to lead internal and client-facing technical discussions. Familiarity with DEA templates and workflows is highly valued. Key Responsibilities Lead and contribute to land development projects, ensuring technical accuracy and timely delivery. Prepare and process plans for submission to cities and agencies. Use Civil 3D and AutoCAD to develop design documents and construction plans. Apply knowledge of California permitting requirements and CEQA to support project compliance. Collaborate with internal teams and participate in client meetings to address technical questions. Guide project workflows using DEA templates and standards. Coordinate with agencies to ensure smooth plan review and approval processes. Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of civil engineering experience. Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD. Experience submitting and processing plans with cities or public agencies. Familiarity with California permitting procedures and CEQA. Ability to lead internal meetings and communicate effectively with clients. Preferred Qualifications PE license in California preferred, or active pursuit of licensure. Experience working with DEA templates and workflows. Additional Notes Submissions from agencies will not be considered unless the candidate meets the minimum experience requirement and holds a PE license.
