Responsibilities

Technical Architecture & Development

: Design, develop, and implement sophisticated SAP technical solutions, with particular emphasis on S/4HANA architecture, SAP Ariba configurations, and AI-enabled functionalities, ensuring systems are positioned to drive high-quality, reliable, and scalable procurement operations.

AI Integration & Innovation

: Leverage SAP's AI capabilities including Machine Learning, Business AI, and SAP Analytics Cloud to create intelligent procurement solutions that automate processes and provide predictive insights across S/4HANA and Ariba platforms.

Ariba Solution Development

: Configure, customize, and extend SAP Ariba modules to meet complex business requirements, including workflow development, form customization, and integration with backend ERP systems.

Systems Analysis & Optimization

: Evaluate existing SAP technical infrastructure, Ariba configurations, custom developments, and integration points to identify opportunities for AI-driven performance improvements, intelligent automation, and technical debt reduction.

Solution Engineering

: Execute complex technical work plans to deliver high-value SAP system improvements that drive quality and scale, collaborating with internal and external partners on the design and deployment of AI-enhanced technical capabilities across S/4HANA and Ariba landscapes, ensuring functionality, performance, and maintainability.

Technical Leadership

: Partner with Engineering, Architecture, and Development colleagues to identify emerging SAP technologies, Ariba roadmap developments, AI transformation opportunities, and technical roadmaps, ensuring our technical landscape is optimized for modern procurement operations and premium Windows devices & accessories business requirements.

Team Leadership & Mentoring

: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers and engineers, modeling Microsoft values and helping team members grow their SAP technical expertise.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field and 4+ years of hands-on SAP development experience with deep technical expertise in S/4HANA environments.

4+ years of experience in SAP technical development

including ABAP, ABAP Objects, CDS Views, OData services, and Fiori/UI5 development.

4+ years of experience with SAP Ariba

including technical configuration, customization, and integration with S/4HANA and other enterprise systems.

3+ years of experience

in consumer electronics, high-tech industry, or consumer packaged goods environments.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check:

This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certifications & Advanced Skills:

SAP S/4HANA technical certification

or other relevant SAP certifications

SAP Ariba certification

in one or more modules (Procurement, Sourcing, Contracts, or Supplier Management) preferred.

Experience with

cloud-native SAP development

and SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) including AI services.

Ariba extensibility experience

including custom fields, forms, workflows, and integration development.

Knowledge of

AI/ML technologies

and their integration with SAP systems (SAP AI Core, SAP AI Foundation).

Understanding of

Microsoft AI services

(Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services) and their integration with SAP environments.

Knowledge of

DevOps practices

including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment automation.

Familiarity with

SAP automation and testing tools

such as Worksoft Certify, eCATT, or similar frameworks.

Understanding of

Test Driven

Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment

practices.

Experience with

performance monitoring and telemetry

in SAP environments.

Technical Breadth:

Software engineering experience in

Microsoft technologies and cloud platforms

.

Understanding of

modern software architecture patterns

and integration technologies.

Experience with

structured design and modeling techniques.

Knowledge of

Cloud Computing concepts

and hybrid cloud architectures.

Software Engineering IC4

- The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
