Compensation

$47,000 - $55,850 per year

Offers based on education and years of relevant experience

Hours/Schedule

Full-Time

Monday-Friday

Must be able to work 1-2 evenings per week to assist the clinic and/or meet with clients around their availability.

Position Specific Duties/Responsibilities

Provide individual, group, and family therapy services at a school-based satellite clinic location and main clinic sites.

Assess each client’s mental health strengths and needs in accordance with the most current edition of the DSM / ICD 9 codes and in accordance with pertinent regulatory and agency standards

Demonstrates ability to identify clients at risk and intervene to prevent further psychological or physical decline.

Effectively collaborate with the client’s continuum of care providers to include psychiatric care provider, primary health provider and other involved health care providers

Ensure full engagement of each client in the therapeutic process as evidenced by consistent attendance at scheduled sessions and contributions to treatment planning and progress

Complete and maintain intake assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and all required documentation within regulatory timeframes, adhering to professional standards, agency policies, Office of Mental Health (OMH) guidelines, Federal Medicaid and HMO requirements, and COA accreditation standards.

Collaborate with the child and family to develop and establish a diagnosis and treatment plan that meets medical necessity while honoring the child’s self-identified needs, goals, and ethnic, religious, and cultural identities.

Ensure that each assigned client’s record is accurately maintained and up to date in compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and agency standards.

Consistently meet established productivity expectations as defined by agency policy and program standards.

Participates in the 24-hour on-call clinical rotation to ensure continuous crisis support for clients of the Behavioral Health Clinic

Understand and adhere to Gateway's Code of Conduct, Code of Ethics, providing professional and meaningful interventions and interactions.

Participate in clinical supervision, case consultation, staff meetings and trainings as required by the program.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent documentation skills

Ability to work independently and also be an enthusiastic team player

Ability to work evening hours 1-2 nights per week to assist the clinic and/or meet with clients around their availability.

Ability to work and travel to a School Based Satellite location and the Main Clinic location

Knowledgeable in Evidence Based behavioral interventions and assessments

Ability to work effectively with clients, staff, families, and community contacts

Qualifications

Must be license-eligible, hold a provisional license (LMHC-P or LMSW permit), or be fully licensed as an LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC. LMSW candidates should be eligible for or actively pursuing their “C” designation, and LMHC candidates should be eligible for or actively pursuing their Diagnostic Privilege/Permit. Candidates may also qualify under grandfathering provisions, with appropriate exemption documentation provided.
