Job Title: Dispatcher Location: SBC Corporation Department Name: Security-Administration Req #: 0000215043 Status: Hourly Shift: Day Pay Range: $21.69 - $30.64 per hour Pay Transparency: The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Job Overview: In support of the development of Corporate Security Team as a service line, and in support of the Corporate Security mission to compassionately protect and help the people, property, and quality of our health system, together , the Corporate Security Operations Center CSOC Operator identifies, analyzes, and supports incidents that are either impactful or potentially impactful to RWJBarnabas Health, its hospitals, sites, workforce, assets, the brand, patients, and visitors. The CSOC Operator position is responsible for assessing multiple sources of data including workplace violence data, drug diversion data, local security dispatch data, weapons detection data, proximity alert data, crime risk data, media and social media data to assess risk and identify trends. Qualifications: Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent Valid US Driver's License At least two years of security dispatch or command center operator experience. Excellent administrative skills, including written and verbal communication skills. Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must have expert level skills in Microsoft excel including ability to make pivot tables quickly. Must be results-oriented with critical thinking and multi-tasking capabilities. Must have ability to communicate effectively and efficiently across a highly-matrixed organization. Preferred: Strong interpersonal and communication skills (i.e. verbal, written). Bachelor's degree preferred education in Corporate Security, National Security, Criminal Justice, Law, Business Management, Emergency Management, or related field. Experience working in a Corporate Security, Hospital Security, or Contract Security department. Bilingual (dependant upon facility) strongly preferred. Membership in Security Organization including from ASIS International or IAHSS. Scheduling Requirements Multiple Part-Time (8 hour) shifts Essential Functions: Using established protocols and critical thinking the Operator will activate work flows and notify leadership as appropriate to immediate actions events. The CSOC Operator will also monitor security surveillance cameras, alarms, card access data, panic and staff duress alarms, answer calls, operate access control technology, mass notification technology, provide general assistance and guidance, and alarms and dispatch associated response personnel including security or others as needed. The CSOC operator supports the corporate headquarters, medical group and ambulatory sites, and assists the office of emergency management as they prepare for, respond to, and recover from both crisis and non-crisis incidents and events of various types. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requires the need to be highly organized and change course immediately while maintaining a positive attitude and strong work ethic. Prior experience with access control systems. Prior experience with CCTV management systems. Prior experience with visitor management systems. Ability to learn new technology quickly, System Monitoring: Continuously monitor closed-circuit television CCTV, access control, fire alarm, and other security systems to detect potential threats or breaches. Data Analytics: Ability to review, assess, analyze, and identify trends in data sets using excel. Alarm & Incident Response: Respond to security and fire alarms, assess the situation, and initiate appropriate actions, which may include dispatching security personnel or contacting emergency services. Communication: Serve as a central point of contact, relaying information via radio, phone, and email to security staff, management, and external agencies like police and fire departments. Personnel Dispatch: Coordinate and dispatch security personnel and equipment to problem areas or incidents. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed logs of security events, incidents, and actions taken. Prepare reports and recommendations for management. Emergency Coordination: Coordinate with local emergency responders to manage crises such as medical emergencies, fire, or natural disastlogs and assisting with key control.
