Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Physical Therapist for an outpatient setting, requiring at least 2 years of recent PT experience and a Vermont license in hand. Responsibilities
Outpatient physical therapy clinic with opportunity to float to inpatient PT as needed Patient caseload averages 8 per day Monday through Thursday and 6 on Friday Patient population includes orthopedic and sports injuries, neurological disorders, balance and fall prevention, post-op care, musculoskeletal dysfunctions, and workplace injuries Therapists provide evaluations and treatments including manual techniques, therapeutic exercises, and patient education CPSI EMR experience is highly preferred Primary duties include providing hands-on therapy, patient assessments, and individualized rehabilitative programs Must be flexible and able to work in both outpatient and inpatient PT settings as needed No more than 5 days of requested time off will be accepted and RTO must be submitted with initial application Travelers are required to work two of the following holidays: the Friday/weekend after Thanksgiving, after Christmas/Christmas Eve, or after New Year's Eve/Day Clinics are closed on major holidays Extensions ending in November or before December holiday start will not be considered for 2026 Local candidates residing within 50 miles will not be considered Requirements
Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program is required Minimum 2 years of current PT experience in an outpatient setting is required Previous travel experience of at least 3 months is required Current BLS certification (AHA) is required Vermont PT license must be in hand at time of consideration Must be able to treat all regular outpatient PT diagnoses Must have prior rehab experience Must have an updated CAQH profile and NPI Must have a valid driver's license and own vehicle due to lack of public transportation Experience with CPSI EMR is highly preferred Experience working with PTAs is preferred One supervisory signed reference from the past two years of employment is required License required if applicable Benefits
