Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated
Reliability Engineer
to support and enhance reliability and maintenance practices at the
Martin Lake Power Plant
, one of our client's key generation assets. This role is ideal for a professional with a strong foundation in
Planning, Scheduling, and Work Execution Management
, who also brings a solid background in reliability engineering principles.
This is a
customer-facing position
with high visibility and the opportunity to make a significant impact on plant performance and reliability. The successful candidate will serve as a
subject matter expert (SME)
in planning and scheduling, while also contributing to broader reliability initiatives as part of a larger organizational effort.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the
SME for Planning, Scheduling, and Work Execution Management
, ensuring alignment with best practices and continuous improvement.
Support the implementation of the
Reliability Optimization Initiative
, focusing on sustainable work processes and asset performance.
Collaborate with maintenance, operations, and engineering teams to optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
Apply reliability methodologies such as
RCM
,
FMEA
, and
Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
to reduce unplanned downtime and improve asset health.
Utilize CMMS tools (e.g., SAP, Maximo) to analyze maintenance data, identify trends, and drive data-informed decisions.
Act as a liaison between the plant and the broader reliability organization, ensuring consistent execution of strategic initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in
Mechanical
or
Electrical Engineering
(or related technical field).
7–10 years of experience
in reliability engineering, maintenance, or asset management, with at least
2–3 years in planning/scheduling roles
.
Deep understanding of
work management processes
, including job planning, backlog management, and schedule optimization.
Proficiency in
CMMS platforms
(SAP, Maximo) and maintenance analytics tools.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work cross-functionally and influence without authority.
CMRP
or
CRE
certification preferred.
