Responsibilities The Certified Food Service Manager will supervise the food service program at a single site, ensuring superior food quality, effective inventory management, food safety compliance, and excellent customer service. This position requires strict adherence to menus, and regulations, along with HCSG policies to consistently deliver high-quality dining services. Lead and support the food service team to uphold quality and safety standards. Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, food supplies, personnel, and equipment using HCSG software. Conduct staff training and quality control sessions; assist in hands-on roles like dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher as necessary. Effectively communicate directives from client managers and facility administrators to HCSG staff. Utilize protective gear and ensure safe usage of cleaning solutions, promptly reporting equipment needs or malfunctions. Follow infection control, universal precautions, and handwashing protocols to maintain a hygienic environment. Maintain reliable attendance, punctuality, and timely task completion. Project a positive image of HCSG through respectful interactions with supervisors, coworkers, clients, residents, and visitors. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification required. Preferred: Associate's degree or higher in food service management or hospitality, including food service or restaurant management coursework. Two years of experience in large-scale food production/service and supervising personnel preferred. Must acquire Food Protection Manager (FPM) certification within the first 14 days of employment. Must obtain Food Service Manager (FSM) and Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM) certifications within the first 60 days of employment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Maintain a positive attitude and interact effectively with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership. Must comply with COVID-19 vaccination policies. Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, bend, and walk for extended periods. Ability to perform routine, repetitive tasks continuously. Must work well around food and cleaning products. Basic computer skills for maintaining records and completing reports, including web-based reporting. May be required to complete an approved sanitation and safety course. Residency in the service area is required. Ready to Join Us?
