Job Summary
The Fermentation Utility role is the entry level position for the department. The Utility role is
expected to perform a variety of jobs, tasks or duties such as fork truck operation, housekeeping, working with
hand tools to perform basic maintenance, repair and lubrication activities, process sample retrieval, process tank
management, raw material receipt, stacking/emptying media containers and other duties as required.
Essential Job Functions
Actively participate in plant safety, environmental, and quality programs and policies.
Take ownership of personal safety and the safety of others by demonstrating safe behaviors, maintaining a safety-focused attitude, ensuring a safe work environment, and adhering to all safety policies and procedures.
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
Report all near misses and incidents on the day they occur.
Proactively identify and correct safety, environmental, and quality issues.
Perform assigned housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and organized work area.
Collaborate effectively in a team environment.
Maintain a positive and respectful attitude with all personnel.
Support continuous improvement initiatives from both operations and compliance teams.
Accurately record and report data as required.
Communicate plant safety policies and procedures effectively to outside drivers and ADM delivery personnel.
Perform basic troubleshooting using sound reasoning and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.
Review and apply written standard operating procedures (SOPs) accurately.
Actively contribute to and participate in the ongoing education and development of Fermentation hourly personnel.
Understand and uphold responsibilities within food safety and quality systems, actively supporting food safety initiatives and ensuring all activities meet Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Understand and fulfill responsibilities within the facility's Environmental Management System (EMS), including compliance with EMS requirements related to material management, training, and recordkeeping.

On-The-Job Training Requirements:
New colleagues will need to undergo on-the-job training to acquire skills and certifications, which will be assessed according to established standards
Complete ADM safety, food safety, quality, and environmental training
Participate in company planner operations training
Equipment training may include but not limited to JLP, Forklift, Non-DOT Truck, Reach Lift, Lock Out/Tag Out, etc.
ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
