We are seeking a Functional Lead for the Electrical Engineering discipline at SNC IAS. In this role, you will have the ability to chart the course for Electrical Engineering here at the IAS business area via people, processes, tools, and training as well as influence high-level decisions for the betterment of Electrical Engineering. These cover a very wide range from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems through highly integrated aircraft to specialized military systems. You'll conceptualize and design new products and processes throughout the product life-cycle from analog and digital assemblies to fully integrated systems.

The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Responsibilities:

People

: Support the Electrical Engineering group through mentorship, talent calibration, hiring, program reviews, and communication. In essence, taking care of the Electrical Engineers at IAS and ensuring that standards are upheld.

Processes

: Establish/Manage the process for how Electrical Engineering is conducted at IAS; Including template creation/management, drawing standards, etc.

Tools

: Chart the course for current and future tool implementation at IAS. To include model based definition, digital engineering, electrical load analysis, bundle derating etc.

Training

: Develop and administer training for new-hires onboarding in Electrical Engineering at IAS.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Bachelor's of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience

Higher education may substitute for relevant experience

Demonstrated knowledge of engineering principles and practices

Understanding of Computer Aided Engineering tools (eg. Autocad, Zuke, Catia)

Progressive experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams

Knowledge of industry standard Electrical Engineering analysis / principles and practices (ASME Y.14, DRM, IEEE 315)

Experience composing and analyzing Electrical Load Analysis (ELA), circuit modeling, simulation, and analysis

Experience analyzing circuits, wiring diagrams and installation drawings

The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience leading teams of Electrical Engineers

Exposure to advanced computer modeling techniques

Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry

Knowledge of military and civil certification regulations

Experience in developing and verifying electrical tools and methods

Experience troubleshooting hardware issues

Understanding of the printed circuit board layout process and tools

Familiar with Electro Magnetic Effects (EME) to include, Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) and Electro Magnetic Interference (EMI)

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $108,496.89 - $149,183.22. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled.
