Associate Coordinator for Patient Care . In this role, you will support established processes and collaborate with the care team to uphold our values, deliver outstanding customer service, and adhere to Lean methodologies while helping us achieve clinical and financial goals. Schedule (40 hours):

Monday-Friday, 8-hour shifts between the hours of 6:30am-5pm PST. Schedule will be finalized upon hire. Location:

1633 Medical Center Point, Colorado Springs, CO 80907 Key Responsibilities: Accurately gather and update patient information including name, address, and insurance details. Verify insurance on the day of service. Maintain meticulous medical records. Confirm and schedule patient appointments. Respond to telephone inquiries promptly and courteously. Handle referral scheduling efficiently. Manage follow-up services for patients, including further appointments and specialist referrals. Adhere to Optum Employee Policies as outlined through Sparq. Work collaboratively with colleagues to meet team objectives. Stay informed about current medical requirements, ensuring patient confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and OSHA regulations. Maintain compliance with Epic training. Assure continuity of care through systematic scheduling and tracking. Facilitate effective communication among patient/family, team members, and healthcare professionals. Notify clinical staff immediately about schedule changes. Abide by administrative policies to uphold quality care standards. Demonstrate accuracy in document scanning and management within electronic charts. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned. Keep current on medical protocols related to your role, ensuring patient confidentiality and compliance. Complete any new clinical competencies required by the Educational Committee. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED (or higher). 1+ years of customer service experience. 6+ months of experience in a healthcare setting. Intermediate proficiency in computer applications, specifically Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and various web applications. Preferred Qualifications: 1+ years of experience in a medical front office role, including responsibilities like scheduling appointments, insurance verification, and record maintenance. Familiarity with EMR software. Soft Skills: Able to work both independently and collaboratively, exercising sound judgment and reliability. Skilled in multitasking and effectively prioritizing responsibilities. Capability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced setting. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with healthcare providers. Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a focus on clarity and understanding. Your pay will be influenced by various factors including local labor market conditions, education, work experience, and certifications.
