Aerotek is seeking a Field Service Pump Mechanic
Job Description
Join a dynamic service and repair company specializing in pumps and rotating equipment. We are currently seeking a skilled Pump Mechanic Supervisor who will also engage in fieldwork to disassemble, repair, and reassemble pumps. Your role will involve using measuring equipment to test pumps, conducting shop and fieldwork, and traveling 30-40% of the time across Mississippi to the Gulf of Mexico.
Responsibilities
Disassemble, repair, and reassemble pumps both in the shop and on the field.
Use measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges to test and ensure equipment quality.
Engage in the complete installation, exchange, and calculation processes during fieldwork.
Fill out inspection reports and contribute to repair and restoration work.
Collaborate on turnarounds without staying for the entire duration.
Participate in field service assignments lasting 5, 7, or 9 days.
Essential Skills
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a pump mechanic.
Proficiency in using measuring tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
Knowledge of blueprint and schematic interpretation.
TWIC card holder.
Experience with computer software such as Microsoft Excel.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in field service and extensive pump expertise.
Familiarity with vibration analysis.
Background in working with competitors like DXP, Conhagen, Flowserve, and TISS.
Understanding of manual machining and rotating equipment.

Work Environment

The workforce is experienced and collaborative, fostering an environment of knowledge sharing. The role requires steel-toed boots, jeans, work shirts, and safety glasses. Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, with a high likelihood of working 55-65 hours per week.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $36.00/hr.
