BigBear.ai is looking for a Systems Engineer to join our support team. The candidate will work closely with the development team and our customers in the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Intelligence Community (IC). This position is on-site in Herndon, VA, and requires a TS/SCI with Polygraph.

What you will do
Integrate a variety of software components in a secure container architecture working with cross functional teams to debug critical issues
Support the migration of containerized workflows from platforms such as Docker Swarm and/or Kubernetes
Development of CI/CD Build and Deployment Pipelines
Write/modify Jenkins-based groovy scripts
Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline operational processes , including tasks such as staging/unstaging builds, automating branch tagging, and correcting variances across networks.
Integrate tools into the pipeline
Work with the development teams to bring in new microservices into the pipeline.
Work through steps to automate installations of COTS of GOTS container builds to the architecture
DevOps Tool Integration
Help integrate with various tools for the DevOps process (SonarQube, Fortify, Jenkins, Robot Framework/Selenium, Artifactory, etc…)
What you need to have
A Bachelor’s degree requires 9 years of relevant experience, a Master’s degree requires 7 years of relevant experience, and a PhD requires 4 years of relevant experience. Alternatively, an additional 4 years of experience can substitute for the educational qualifications
Must maintain an active TS/SCI with current poly
Proven experience in Linux environments
Proficiency in scripting languages, including Bash and Python
Experience with OCP or similar container environment
A strong understanding of Kubernetes and OpenShift Container Platform.
A proactive mindset and readiness to excel in a DevSecOps-oriented environment, embracing Infrastructure as Code principles.
DoD IAT Level II Certification, such as Security + CE, CISSP, or equivalent
What we'd like you to have
Basic understanding of an Object-Oriented Programming Language, such as Java
Experience developing, deploying, monitoring, and troubleshooting software solutions
Experience integrating Jenkins and Docker for automated CI/CD pipelines
