Physical Therapist – Outpatient Rehab & Emergency Department Split

/ Location: Hartford, CT - 81 Retreat Ave HH Core Bldg, Hartford, CT 06102 and 85 Seymour Street, Suite 604, Hartford, CT 06106 Schedule: Full-Time: M-F Flexible scheduling options available. May include weekend or holiday coverage depending on department needs.** *About our Rehab Network and Hartford Hospital Emergency Department: * Hartford HealthCare Rehabilitation Network is Connecticut’s premier provider of rehabilitation services, offering a full continuum of care across acute hospitals, long-term care facilities, sub-acute rehabilitation, homecare, outpatient centers, and community settings such as senior centers, workplaces, and educational institutions. With over 40 outpatient locations, the network delivers physical, occupational, and speech therapy in specialties including orthopedics, neuroscience, oncology, women’s health, sports medicine, and vestibular therapy, all with a strong focus on high-quality, customer-centered outcomes. Complementing this, Hartford Hospital’s Emergency Department is one of the busiest in the state, treating approximately 109,000 patients annually and managing the region’s highest acuity cases. The ED features 109 beds, including a 19-bed Observation Unit, and is recognized as a chest pain center and comprehensive stroke center. It is also home to Life Star, Connecticut’s first critical care helicopter service, and benefits from the hospital’s cutting-edge resources such as the largest robotic surgery center in the Northeast and the world-renowned Center for Education, Simulation and Innovation (CESI).

Position Description : * / This position will be a split role between the Emergency Department at Hartford Hospital (81 Retreat Ave) and our Outpatient Rehab Clinic on the same campus (85 Seymour Street). This innovative role integrates inpatient and outpatient physical therapy skills in the ED as a cutting-edge approach to patient care.__ / The Physical Therapist (PT) administers medically prescribed Physical Therapy treatments to patients. The Physical Therapist (PT) independently evaluates patient’s level of function, determines treatment strategies, and delivers and/or delegates Physical Therapy services that identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain.
