On-Call Benefits Enrollment Specialist

JOB DESCRIPTION This is a seasonal, contract position focused on attending onsite open enrollment and benefit fair meetings at client locations. You will have the opportunity to present information on benefits and answer individual inquiries. Your follow-up communication will be electronically provided to the appropriate Delta Dental personnel. This role is ideal for candidates with flexible schedules who can adjust to seasonal demands. Applicants must be available from 8 AM to 5 PM in their local time zone, Monday through Friday. Your ability to maintain presence during standard daytime hours and adapt to fluctuating workloads, especially during peak periods, is critical. Please note that benefits are not available for this role as it is a seasonal contract position; benefits are provided exclusively for permanent positions at Delta Dental. RESPONSIBILITIES Engage in group settings or one-on-one to compare and contrast dental plans, assisting customers in selecting the best option to meet their needs. Guide customers in making informed decisions when Delta Dental is provided on a voluntary basis. Provide printed plan information to customers and address any questions regarding the offerings. Refer members to customer service for resolutions outside your scope of knowledge. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum of two years' experience in medical/dental insurance account management, benefits administration in Human Resources, or as a medical/dental carrier representative/insurance broker. High School diploma or GED required. Insurance license required for residents of FL and KY. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are mandatory, with proof of automobile insurance meeting state-minimum liability limits. Familiarity with dental plans and basic health insurance terminology is essential. Knowledge of additional languages is a plus. Base Pay Information: The national base pay is estimated at $30.00/hour. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's evaluation of the candidate's qualifications and experience.
