We are seeking an experienced&
Geotechnical Engineer & to join our Houston-based team. This position requires a true&
cradle-to-grave project engineer —someone who can manage assignments from proposal through reporting with both technical expertise and strong field presence.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with drillers and lab staff, and producing high-quality deliverables under tight deadlines. This role involves both office and field responsibilities and requires someone who can&
lead with confidence, communicate clearly, and execute with precision .

We are seeking qualified applicants with substantial exposure to geotechnical engineering. This field carries some of the highest liabilities, so judgment must be exercised with the utmost discretion.
For candidates with&
less than 5 years of direct geotechnical experience , a&
Master’s degree & (to ensure the necessary theoretical foundation) and a&
PE license & are essential.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed&
geotechnical reports & and Phase I/II environmental recommendations.
Oversee and coordinate&
drilling operations & and laboratory testing.
Analyze soil properties and lab test results to support project designs.
Provide engineering recommendations for:
Low- and high-rise buildings
Bridges and industrial facilities
Retaining walls and foundation systems
Perform advanced engineering analyses, including:
Slope stability, settlement, lateral load, and bearing capacity
Design pavement structures and foundation systems (spread footings, auger cast piles, driven piles, drilled piers).
Conduct Phase I environmental and preliminary fault studies.
Support construction inspections, field coordination, and project delivery.
Collaborate directly with clients, contractors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering & (required);&
Master’s in Geotechnical Engineering & strongly .
5+ years of geotechnical engineering experience & (high-performing EITs with advanced education will be considered).
Texas PE license & (or in progress).
Strong knowledge of&
soil properties, lab testing, and field procedures .
Proven ability to manage projects independently and communicate confidently with drillers, contractors, and clients.
Proficiency with&
Microsoft Office & and geotechnical engineering software.
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
Valid driver’s license; must pass&
drug test and background check .
Willingness to work occasional&
weekends, holidays, and non-standard hours & as projects require.
