Duties Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for construction projects, leveraging advanced software for optimal accuracy. Analyze blueprints, specifications, and related documentation to develop time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Partner with project management teams to create budgets and ensure they align with overall project objectives. Conduct site visits to evaluate conditions and gather critical information for accurate estimating. Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to achieve the best value for the organization. Monitor expenses throughout the project lifecycle to ensure compliance with budgetary limitations. Utilize cutting-edge software for efficient document management and collaboration during the estimating process. Support cost control measures and help identify potential risks linked to project budgets. Skills Required : Proven experience estimating underground utility and site development projects. Proficiency in HeavyBid or comparable software for construction estimating. Solid understanding of construction management principles and methodologies. Exceptional project management capabilities with the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously. Outstanding negotiation skills for securing advantageous pricing from vendors and subcontractors. Familiarity with Bluebeam or similar software for efficient document handling and communications. Ability to conduct detailed analyses of construction sites to guide pricing strategies. Meticulous attention to detail, emphasizing accuracy in cost estimation. Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex information clearly.
