We are currently searching for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to work with our team as we support the delivery of a $1.8 billion terminal program at Tampa International Airport in Tampa, Florida.
Accountable to HCAA executive leadership for the overall planning and implementation of a Quality Assurance program for the successful delivery of the Master Plan Program
Manages a team of QA Discipline Managers to provide oversight of the HCAA field project teams in monitoring and documenting that the assigned projects are constructed in accordance with contract documents and sound engineering / construction practices
Reviews the QC plans submitted by Contractors and Design-Builders and monitors and documents compliance through field auditing
Provides monthly reports on QA activities and issues
Participates in the submittal review phase prior to construction activities
Oversees a system of non-compliance reporting and verification of resolution
The desired candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of experience working as a member of quality management teams on large capital infrastructure and/or commercial building projects. Five years of this experience should be in quality assurance management roles. Ideally, candidates should be able to demonstrate experience preparing and implementing quality management plans, working with construction plans and specifications, supervising quality inspectors, reporting quality deficiencies, and tracking corrective actions. Prior quality management experience with multiple construction disciplines is desired.
The selected individual will report to the Jacobs' Construction Manager and will supervise three quality assurance leads for the civil/structural, mechanical, and electrical components of the terminal construction. This individual will be responsible for reviewing quality control plans submitted by contractors and preparing and presenting monthly quality reports to leadership of the Hillsborough County Aviation Authority. The QA Manager will be expected to work closely with members of the Jacobs' team, designers, contractors, and the client to work through quality problems and challenges and ensure construction quality of the terminal project complies with contract documents and sound engineering/construction practices.
The selected candidate will be required to work full time at the project site.
