About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will manage the procurement of goods and materials, ensuring alignment with cost, quality, and delivery targets.
You will play a key role in supplier management, contract negotiation, and maintaining a continuous supply chain to support critical projects in defense and healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the procurement process for assigned goods in line with cost, quality, and delivery goals.
Apply sourcing policies and serve as the liaison between suppliers and internal teams.
Evaluate supplier quotations and prepare purchase orders based on final negotiations.
Conduct research and assessments of current and potential suppliers.
Resolve supplier issues related to pricing, quality, delivery, and invoicing.
Maintain accurate supplier documentation and records.
Participate in supplier performance reviews and initiate improvement plans.
Oversee material control, including documentation and chain of custody.
Manage direct deliveries and drop shipments.
Update ERP systems with changes in schedules or supply issues.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and report delivery status to management.
Provide regular updates, reports, and strategic recommendations.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and guidelines.
Explore alternative sourcing options to maintain supply continuity.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum 5 years of experience in purchasing and procurement.
Strong ERP system knowledge.
Experience with technical products, especially in Aerospace Defense and Medical Devices.
Proven vendor management skills including negotiation and reporting.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and influencing abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Detail-oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
Technical understanding of materials science and mechanics of materials.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and fabrication techniques.
Proficiency in MS Office and integrated ERP software.
Strong judgment, decision-making, and presentation skills.
Advanced analytical and computational skills.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
