As the Senior Director of Actuarial Services at UnitedHealth Group, you will have the opportunity to set direction for cross-functional teams and influence senior leadership to embrace innovative solutions. This role offers the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. as you tackle exciting challenges. Primary Responsibilities: Develop actuarial strategy that aligns growth and profitability initiatives. Direct actuarial analysis and provide insights for trend projections and pricing models. Collaborate with pharmacy benefit managers and clinical teams to formulate network, formulary, and rebate assumptions. Contribute to the creation of actuarial Part D pricing models and forecasting methodologies. Assess and analyze outcomes from pricing models and conduct sensitivity testing. Evaluate the effects of strategic benefit modifications and legislative changes. Engage in the Part D bid submission process. Assist in the forecasting process by analyzing drivers and variances. Effectively communicate findings to stakeholders. Oversee the workload and professional growth of a small team of actuarial analysts. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree ASA (Associate of the Society of Actuaries) or FSA (Fellow of the Society of Actuaries) designation 8+ years of actuarial experience Experience in Part D pricing or forecasting Proficient in working with models that handle large datasets Advanced understanding of MS Excel Basic familiarity with SAS (Statistical Analysis System), SQL (Structured Query Language), or related programming tools Preferred Qualifications: Experience developing models using SAS or SQL Advanced proficiency in SAS or SQL Please note that all remote employees must adhere to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy. Compensation for this role is influenced by various factors, including local labor markets, educational background, work experience, and certifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive programs, stock purchase options, and 401k contributions (subject to eligibility).
