Eaton’s Aerospace Group is currently seeking a Plant Manager to join our team. This position is based at the Bethel, CT manufacturing facility and relocation assistance is offered.

As an Executive and Plant Manager for Eaton’s Fluid Electrical Distribution Division you will be responsible for daily operations, safety, quality, on-time delivery, efficiency, and overall success of the site. The strategic direction, goals, and processes/practices you create, and implement will drive the desired annual profit plan and long-term targets. You will cultivate a culture of inclusion, equity & diversity. The best practices your team identifies and implements will ultimately contribute to operational effectiveness and deliver exceptional business results. You will report directly to the Engine Solutions & Electrification Director of Operations and have strategic oversight of 120+ employees.

The Plant:

Eaton’s Bethel, CT Aerospace site is located in Southwest Connecticut approximately 1 hour from New York City and also from Hartford. The plant is centrally located in Bethel, with easy access to the metro and Amtrak train systems connected to all major cities in the Northeastern United States.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $158249.97 - $232099.96 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate with Plant Leadership to manage facility operations, including Manufacturing, Engineering, Safety, Quality, Supply Chain, Operational Excellence, Customer Service, HR and Finance.

• Establish objectives and track key performance indicators across the organization; ensure continued improvement in scorecard metrics.

• Develop and foster a high-performance culture focused on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

• Continually assess short and long-term objectives to help meet annual profit plan, operational excellence, and strategic plan goals.

• Monitor product quality levels and introduce and implement innovative programs to ensure customer requirements continued improvement that meets customer requirements.

• Empower employees to drive accountability and proactively champion a workplace focused on Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS), driving a zero-incident culture.

• Provide direction on elevated issues and ensure compliance with Eaton Quality System requirements including achievement and maintenance of appropriate certifications.

• Create a motivating atmosphere and culture of employee engagement which allows each employee to utilize their full potential.

• Attract, select, train, appraise, motivate, and develop staff for future positions at Eaton.

• Effectively manage the plant’s practical capacity and capabilities to ensure profitable growth.

• Drive compliance of the ethics policy and hold others accountable for ethical conduct.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution

• Minimum 7 years of experience with progressive levels of accountability and responsibility in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Finance, OPEX, Engineering and/or Quality in a manufacturing environment.

• Minimum 5 years of managerial experience.

• Authorized to work in the US on a continuous basis without company sponsorship.

• This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master of Business Administration from an accredited institution

• 1 or more years of demonstrated experience in a Plant Manager role.

• 3 or more years of Aerospace and/or Defense industry experience

• 5 or more years of experience in materials management, quality assurance, mechanical engineering, Industry 4.0, or continuous improvement
