Location: This position will support one of our Mary Bridge Pediatric Clinics. This may be a specialty clinic, specialty outreach clinic, primary care clinic, or urgent care clinic.
0, Shift: Day, Schedule: Clinic Hours
The Certified Medical Assistant (MA-C) is an integral part of the Physician/Advanced Practice Provider (APP) office team working under the direction and supervision of a licensed healthcare practitioner. Work situations require performance of safe clinical skills within the scope of practice of the MA-C. The MA-C has continuous contact with physicians, APPs, nurses, front office staff, patients and their families/caregivers.
Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned which may include:
* Organizing patient flow in collaboration with the front office staff
* Performing specimen collection, including venipuncture
* Administration of medications in compliance with Washington State Department of Health regulations and documented competency
* Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned which may include:
* Sending and receiving of patient medical records
* Completion of an accredited program for Medical Assistants
* Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C)
* Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a healthcare setting preferred
