About The Unit: 10N is an inpatient unit specializing in hematological and oncological illness with capacity to care for 12 cardiac telemetry patients. The unit provides opportunities to work with chemotherapy, radiation therapy, end-of-life care, and various bedside procedures. The team supports patients and families from initial diagnosis through cure or palliation, focusing on meaningful patient and family connections.

Scope of work

The RN, under the ANA scope of practice, uses the nursing process to provide professional nursing care with patient-family centered care principles. The RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and discharges care under the direction of the Nurse Leader and Corewell Health policies. The RN partners with patients and families to plan care, develops teaching strategies, and documents education in the health record.

Qualifications

• Associates in Nursing required
• Bachelors in Nursing required within 5 years
• Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years in a licensed health care role, and must have passed the NCLEX licensure examination
• Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) required
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hire
• Specialty Certification highly recommended within 2 years
