What are we looking for in a Program Manager- Corrections?
The Program Manager - Corrections position combines both clinical and administrative responsibilities to serve as leader of the Corrections team, which provides supportive counseling and case management to jail residents. Works within jail system to screen and triage residents who report mental health and/or substance use issues and provides relevant care and referrals for aftercare. Works with jail-based medical services to ensure access to prescribed psychotropic medications. when necessary, participates in the furlough process to move an inmate to inpatient psychiatric care. Also evaluates for the need for suicide precautions and if designated, conduct civil commitment evaluations per orders from court. The schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 8am-5pm.

Program Manager - Corrections duties may include:
- managing staff levels, work assignments, and program processes to ensure efficient treatment delivery
- supervising assigned team staff, which includes assessing clinical skills, giving constructive feedback, and providing additional training & development
- Leads groups using effective group facilitation skills that promote participation and interactions among group members.
- determining the least restrictive environment for crisis resolution and stabilization for the client and arranging client placements for voluntary and involuntary hospitalization or detox services, when necessary
- communicating with Comprehensive treatment teams about clients who have had crisis contact and participating in safety planning
- advocates for the client when appropriate to attain services and benefits to further recovery goals
- ensuring the delivery of appropriate, clinically effective, and culturally-competent services across the program
- Documents and reports and/or notifies as required by law
- Master's degree in social work, behavioral science, or related field
- Two years of experience providing behavioral health treatment preferred
- Must be eligible for Mental Health Professional
- Must be eligible for certification as Agency Affiliated Counselor
- Valid driver's license, vehicle liability insurance, and two years of safe driving experience compliance with state and federal law,
