Part of a larger team delivering technology solutions to address business problems and opportunities. Focus on translating specific business requirements into technical solution architectures including application architecture, integration architecture, data architecture, and non-functional requirements around supportability, resiliency, security, etc. Translate general business requirements and business trends in architecture patterns and technology ecosystems including data center architecture, application architecture patterns, integration architecture patterns, technology standards, non-functional technical requirements, and computing paradigms. Responsibilities

Drive the development and maintenance of technology and architecture standards, policies and guidelines related to AEP’s Maximo platform.

Review business requirements, create high level end to end solution designs, facilitate project estimates to align with business vision, with emphasis on supportability and scalability.

Help leaders and their teams think through technology, business and operational implications of their technology investment decisions related to Maximo suite of applications.

Build trusting relationships and work collaboratively across teams, System Integrators, job families, and levels of leadership to accomplish complex goals. Under limited supervision, participates in all aspects of application delivery.

Works closely with the developers and other project team members on low to medium scale assignments of minimum to medium risk.

Gather and analyze user requirements.

Generate conceptual design and develop implementation strategies.

Minimum Requirements

Architect (SG7): Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required. Experience:

3 years of relevant work experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered. Architect Senior (SG8): Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related technical field is required. Experience:

6 years of relevant work experience is required. An equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered. Preferred Requirements

Experience/Skills: Strong knowledge of business processes related to Work Management, Asset Management, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Fleet operations.

Experience in configuring Maximo workflows, automation scripts, and the Maximo Integration Framework (MIF). Proficient in web service technologies such as REST using JSON/XML and SOAP services, as well as Maximo Spatial, start centers, work centers, security, escalation processes, cron jobs, BIRT, and QBR.

Familiarity with Maximo 7.6.x and IBM WebSphere Application Server, along with knowledge of code repositories, automated testing tools, application performance toolsets, and authentication and single sign-on capabilities.

Experience with OpenShift, Kubernetes, React JS, and React Native.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate with business partners to evaluate alternative solutions and business workarounds.

Certifications:

Related Maximo Certifications will be a plus, not required Location:
