Northrop Grumman Defense Systems Sector is seeking a
Principal Financial Analyst
to perform financial analyst activities for the Defense Systems Sector. This high impact role will work closely with sector and division business management teams. The position sits onsite in McLean, VA. Position Responsibilities And Duties Include
Assisting with the sector monthly and quarterly financial close deliverables; maintaining month-end closing documentation Participating in Forward Pricing Rate Proposal (FPRP) development, packaging, Provisional Billing Rate (PBR) requests, and drafting responses to Requests for Information (RFI) Ownership of shared segment pool-base-rate build up, as well as analyzing YTD rate variances, forecast position, and risks/opportunities in collaboration with divisions Ownership of NGDS Common Fringe pool-base-rate build up, as well as analyzing YTD rate variances, forecast position, and risks/opportunities Ensuring compliance with applicable NGDS Sector PrOP (Principles and Operating Practices) and incorporation of the relevant NGDS segment Disclosure Statement of Changes during planning cycles Wrap Rates dashboard maintenance Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field, with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience or a Master’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience Must be able to work onsite in McLean, Virginia Proficiency in SAP/S4 & Microsoft Office, as well as NGRB (Northrop Grumman Rates/Budgets) and/or NGFP (Northrop Grumman Financial Planning) (IBM Cognos-based tools) Possess an analytical nature; makes recommendations based on acquired data and cumulative experience Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in the aerospace and defense industry Self-motivated, yet functions well in a team environment Detail and results oriented; ability to deliver accurate results under time sensitive conditions Excellent organizational and prioritization skills Understanding of government rates lifecycles and dependencies Familiarity with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Salary and Benefits
Primary Level Salary Range: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
