Overview
Real Assets Fund Accounting & Administration, Vice President – Atlanta We are seeking a Vice President (VP) to service clients for our Real Assets division of the Alternative Investment Solutions Group. The role partners with clients and colleagues to establish workflow and deadlines while supervising staff, delivering reporting and day-to-day accounting support for clients. What You Will Be Responsible For
Supervise staff (including Associate 1, Associate 2, Senior Staff, Officer and AVP). Manage client relationships with both client personnel and fund investors. Review quarterly and annual financial work paper packages including portfolio schedules, accruals and PCAP allocations. Review quarterly and annual financial statements and footnotes. Review and/or prepare annual tax work paper packages. Review and/or prepare capital calls and distributions, including notices and merged documents. Review monthly bank reconciliations and post journal entries. Review quarterly management fee calculations. Prepare various client-related correspondence and coordinate with the database team on deliverables (financial statements, capital calls, distribution notices). Engage in heavy client interaction on a daily basis. Coordinate annual audit and tax return preparation with Big 4 accounting firms. Review and/or prepare waterfall and capital account allocations and ensure compliance with limited partnership agreements. Understand and navigate limited partnership agreements; maintain relationships with investment professionals, investors, auditors, lawyers and banking personnel. Ensure compliance with investment fund legal documents (e.g., partnership agreement) and assist accounting managers with compliance. Identify and manage unusual or potentially suspicious transaction activity per policy; escalate as required. Manage internal workflow and client deadlines; handle special client projects. Bachelor’s degree with accounting 12+ years of general ledger accounting or audit experience 6+ years of leadership experience Previous financial reporting experience Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) Additional Requirements
Real Estate, Fund, or Private Equity accounting experience CPA or CPA Candidate Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills Experience with Investran, Great Plains and Oracle Financials preferred Ability to handle multiple assignments and work under pressure to meet deliverables About State Street
