Develop and implement a strategic vision for the Public Art Program in alignment with the City's Economic Strategy Work Plan Manage public art projects, integrating them into capital improvement projects and enhancing the public realm Oversee the conservation and maintenance of the public art collection Supervise and provide professional development for public art staff Serve as the primary liaison to the Public Art Committee, facilitating communication and project support What is Required
Bachelor7s degree in Public Administration, Arts, Public Art Studies, Architecture, Urban Planning, or a related field Six (6) years of management and/or administrative experience in arts or design-related programs Proven experience in program and budget management Possession of a valid California Driver's license Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in a relevant field may substitute for one (1) year of required experience Knowledge of creative placemaking and community arts development Experience with grant administration and fundraising Familiarity with public art principles and project management Ability to effectively present complex ideas to the public and stakeholders Tags
