Overview
This Opportunity WSP is seeking a Vice President, Marketing & Communications
to work out of any of our
US WSP offices . The position will report into the
Chief Communications Officer . Leads a team of Marketing & Communications professionals and serves as an active member of the U.S. Leadership Team (USLT). Focused on positioning WSP for continued and accelerated growth in key U.S. markets through strategic marketing campaigns and activations. Plays a key role on the Global MarComs Leadership Team, ensuring alignment with WSP’s client programs and strategic growth priorities. Drives compelling internal storytelling to foster a strong employee experience, while advancing external strategies to elevate brand awareness, support business growth, and increase market share and profitability. Actively contributes to shaping WSP USA’s growth strategy and business direction from a Marketing & Communications perspective - representing the voice of key stakeholders and balancing long-term brand health with short-term commercial opportunities. Proactively defines audience, narrative, and channel strategies for the region, and delivers market share initiatives in collaboration with key customers and stakeholders, all within the framework of WSP’s global brand. Responsibilities
Contribute to the development of the USA business strategic activation plan by providing client and market insight to inform growth areas and go-to-market approach. Contribute to the development of our global brand, marketing and communications strategy and plan, and lead the implementation in the USA to define WSP’s position in the market and generate business growth. Provide leadership input, strategic thinking, and cross-functional collaboration to business decision-making. Active team member of the Global MarComs Leadership Team through contribution to worldwide plans. Collaborate with worldwide peers to ensure alignment and to embed our Global Business Partner Model. Formulate strategies based on client feedback, market insights and projections, that support key pursuits, client opportunities, and generate business growth. Drive in-market activities and partnerships that enhance brand visibility and client engagement. Counsel the Region President and senior leaders on effective communication strategies, both internal and external, and emerging public issues. Manage crisis communications and media relations. Develop strategic external communications plan to identify PR and media opportunities in the USA, aligned with Global External Communications plan and wider Global Leadership. Lead a team of marketing and communications specialists and manage team performance. Prepare and manage annual budget for the USA marketing and communications function, manage expenditure and analyze variances, within the Global MarComs operating model. Who You Are
Required Qualifications 17+ years of experience in the professional services industry, preferably with multiple sectors and service lines and in a global and/or matrix organization. Bachelor's degree in marketing, Communications, or Business Strong professional communications and marketing skills and experience. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams, senior executives and external stakeholders. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, mentor and develop communications and marketing professionals. Experience with media relations and crisis communications, as well as change and M&A communications and brand integration activities. Demonstrated ability to partner and collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement strategic initiatives. Advanced stakeholder management and influencing skills. Adaptability to changing priorities and ability to manage competing deadlines. Collaborative, inclusive team player. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong project management skills. Compensation Expected Salary (all locations): $152,500.00 - $351,120.00 WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
