++Looking for Azure Architect Must be able to go Onsite for 3 Days/Week in Dallas, Texas / End Client: Presidio++
Overview The Azure Architect will design, implement, and oversee cloud-based solutions utilizing Microsoft Azure. This role requires a strategic thinker with deep expertise in cloud architecture to guide infrastructure modernization, application migration, and operational optimization in alignment with business goals. The Azure Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the scalability, security, and efficiency of Azure-based systems while staying current with emerging cloud technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Architecture Design:
Develop, maintain, and document comprehensive Azure cloud architecture strategies ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
Solution Implementation:
Lead deployment and configuration of Azure solutions including virtual networks, VMs, containers, storage, and application services.
Migration Planning:
Design and execute migration plans to transition legacy systems and applications to Azure, minimizing downtime and disruption.
Security and Compliance:
Implement security controls and ensure compliance with standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
Performance Optimization:
Monitor and optimize performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency of Azure resources.
Collaboration:
Work with developers, DevOps teams, and IT leadership to align Azure implementations with project requirements.
Automation and Scripting:
Build automation for provisioning, configuration management, and deployments using PowerShell, Terraform, Azure CLI, or similar tools.
Disaster Recovery:
Design and implement backup, DR, and business continuity solutions within Azure.
Documentation:
Create and maintain detailed documentation of architectures, configurations, and processes.
Training and Mentorship:
Provide guidance and training to internal teams on Azure best practices.
Qualifications Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience
7 years in IT with at least 3 years focused on Azure cloud architecture and solutions.
Proven experience in cloud migration and modernization projects.
Strong background in infrastructure design, networking, and security.
Skills & Certifications
Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (required).
Proficiency with Azure services: Azure AD, AKS, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Azure DevOps.
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM templates).
Scripting: PowerShell, Python, or similar.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
