As a Data Modeler, you’ll play a key part in designing and optimizing data models that power mission-critical systems and services. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact data initiatives within a dynamic and regulated financial environment.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and enhance conceptual, logical, and physical data models across multiple business domains.
Design scalable OLTP (Online Transaction Processing) data models from scratch.
Build reusable data models for file/document processing, hierarchical data, auditing, and notifications.
Translate business requirements into robust, compliant data architecture.
Optimize database structures to support efficient data storage, retrieval, and analytics.
Collaborate with DBAs and developers to implement models in SQL Server and Oracle environments.
Ensure data integrity, security, and performance through best-practice modeling techniques.
Perform data profiling, analysis, and validation to detect anomalies or inconsistencies.
Partner with stakeholders to elicit and document data requirements effectively.
Create and maintain thorough documentation: ERDs, data dictionaries, and metadata.
Support data integration and migration projects by designing transformation and mapping strategies.
Conduct quality assurance reviews to ensure models are accurate and aligned with business needs.
Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to enhance data strategies and processes.
Qualifications
Proven experience developing data models for OLTP systems and enterprise-grade applications.
Strong background in modeling for file/document workflows, data auditing, and messaging/notifications.
Expertise in data architecture principles, performance tuning, and database design best practices.
Hands-on experience with SQL Server, Oracle, and enterprise data management tools.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with business and technical teams.
Experience in the banking or financial services sector is a strong plus.
