Overview
Regional Sales Director (Central) at Upwind Security. Upwind is a next-generation Cloud Security Platform that leverages runtime context to identify and prioritize critical risks, providing precise insights and efficient cloud security management. Upwind uses runtime data proactively for risk prioritization and posture insights, delivering agentless cloud posture discovery, real-time threat protection, and integrated API security. This role focuses on leading the Central Region sales team to drive revenue growth, build pipelines, and scale relationships across enterprise and mid-market segments.
Responsibilities
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Account Executives, fostering accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
Own revenue targets for the Central Region and consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales goals.
Partner with marketing, sales engineering, and customer success to drive pipeline generation and ensure successful customer outcomes.
Build and maintain strong executive-level relationships with enterprise customers and prospects.
Forecast accurately, provide regular business updates to senior leadership, and drive data-driven decision-making.
Recruit, onboard, and retain top sales talent to scale the regional team.
Serve as a cultural ambassador and champion of Upwind Security’s values, representing the company at industry events and regional conferences.
Requirements
Proven track record of leading high-performing sales teams to exceed quota in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Deep knowledge of enterprise sales motions (strategic prospecting, MEDDIC/MEDDPICC, value-based selling).
Maintain accurate forecasting and reporting of the business to leadership and embrace a data-driven approach to SFDC hygiene.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Self-motivated, results-driven, collaborative, and adaptable to a fast-paced startup environment.
Strong understanding of cloud security concepts, technologies, and trends (preferred).
Exceptional leadership, coaching, and communication skills with the ability to inspire teams and influence senior stakeholders.
Based in the Central U.S. with the ability to travel regionally as needed.
