JOB SUMMARY Director of APP Compensation is responsible for advanced practice provider compensation at Baylor Scott and White Health (BSWH). Plans, develops, and implements provider compensation models, programs, and administration which may include compensation budgeting, reporting, financial analysis, forecasts, payroll schedules, and payment administration. Evaluates and modifies provider compensation programs, plans, and payment administration. May act as liaison to providers to confirm understanding of compensation plans and agreements. Ensures provider compensation is aligned to the strategies and goals of the medical group and the BSWH system.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

Directs provider compensation activities for assigned area of responsibility for BSWH.

Recommends and implements strategic and operational plans and priorities for provider compensation aligned to BSWH overall business objectives.

Directs the calculation of provider compensation applying approved compensation plans and agreements.

Develops and implements provider compensation models, methodologies, policies, procedures, and processes that align with provider initiatives, enhance performance, and control costs.

Collaborates with employed providers, senior leadership, payroll, and other stakeholders to address provider compensation issues, compensation agreements, corporate overhead allocations, and other financial matters impacting provider compensation.

Leads the development and implementation of dashboards, metrics, and reporting tools to monitor provider compensation levels and productivity.

Directs the development of provider compensation budgets and provides comparison of pay to planned agreements and provides periodic variance analysis.

Educates and communicates regarding changes to compensation methodologies and regulations.

Ensures compliance with all applicable laws and regulatory requirements impacting provider pay.

Leads the review and monitoring of changes to pay ensuring appropriate actions are documented and compensation is accurately calculated and paid.

KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or related field preferred. Master’s degree preferred.

5+ years of experience in provider compensation, finance management, or related area.

1+ years of experience in a leadership role.

Experience with financial analysis and presenting complex data to a variety of audiences.

Strong knowledge of regulatory, compliance, and legal requirements for provider agreements.

Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with providers, clinicians, and senior leadership.

Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.

Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
