We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Forensic Electrical Engineer to join our team in the greater Boston area. This role offers the opportunity to leverage analytical skills, technical knowledge, and investigative mindset to solve complex electrical failures and support legal, insurance, and industrial clients with critical insights. Preference for candidates residing in the greater Boston, Springfield, Worcester, or Hartford areas. Must hold a PE license in the resident state. Apply engineering knowledge and experience to investigate and assess complex failures in an energetic, people-focused, entrepreneurial culture. Determine the origin and cause, and extent of structural failures including roof damage, water intrusion, post-fire damage, storm damage, structural integrity evaluations, foundation/settlement, product liability, and construction defects. Survey losses and loss scenes at residential and commercial buildings. Investigate and document the scope of damage caused by recent acute events. Investigate and assess damages due to failures and determine the origin of failure for insurers and litigation support. Analyze and document failure analysis and causation of failures. Collaborate with other investigators to produce detailed reports outlining cause and origin of losses and damages. Serve as an expert witness in court and/or depositions. Document and maintain billable hours for failure analysis and forensic engineering projects. Education And Licensing
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university. Professional Engineering (PE) license, at minimum in the resident state. Multi-state licensing and/or active NCEES Record preferred. Expert witness testimony experience is a plus. Taking Care Of You
