Cydecor is seeking an Expeditionary Loitering Munition (ELM) Systems Engineer to provide professional services support to PMS 340, PEO USC, Maritime Special Programs. This role supports Naval Special Warfare (NSW) Maritime Special Programs by delivering systems engineering expertise across the full acquisition lifecycle. The candidate will advise program leadership, support requirements development, and ensure system design, integration, and sustainment align with NSW mission needs. Responsibilities
Provide systems engineering support across NSW acquisition programs, including requirements definition, system architecture, design review, and test/evaluation planning. Advise the Program Manager (PM) and technical leadership on system performance, integration challenges, and risk mitigation strategies. Support development and review of technical documentation such as specifications, interface control documents, test plans, and system engineering plans. Coordinate with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) in areas such as test and evaluation, logistics, cybersecurity, software, and hardware integration. Evaluate industry technologies and emerging capabilities to assess applicability to NSW mission needs. Participate in design reviews, readiness reviews, and technical interchange meetings with government, industry, and laboratory partners. Monitor and track cost, schedule, and performance parameters associated with engineering deliverables. Review results of in-process testing, plan for future system evaluations, and ensure adequacy for meeting operational requirements. Conduct technical analyses of systems, subsystems, and components against NSW operational requirements. Create and modify technical presentations and documentation using Microsoft Office and other information systems tools. What You Need
Knowledge of Department of Defense Acquisition processes and procedures. 5 years of experience with systems engineering principles, including requirements development, system design, integration, verification/validation, and sustainment. Familiarity with NAVSEA program/project objectives, with emphasis on engineering integration, systems development, and technical lifecycle management. Understanding of acquisition management (DoD and SECNAV 5000 series directives). Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel). Strong communication and coordination skills with ability to engage senior leadership and industry partners. Demonstrated ability to analyze complex engineering problems and develop actionable solutions. Bonus Points
Experience supporting NSW or SOCOM acquisition programs. Advanced degree in Systems Engineering or related technical discipline. Experience with emerging maritime or expeditionary unmanned systems. Security Clearance
Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required (Top Secret/SCI eligibility). Education
Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, or related technical discipline. Work Schedule
Primarily remote with occasional on-site support at the Washington Navy Yard. Compensation and Benefits
The projected compensation range for this position is $125-150,000. There are numerous factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the role, work location, and education/certifications.
