Looking for a talented and self-motivated Scientist with a strong engineering background to help produce our revolutionary liquid crystal-based electro-optic patterning devices. This is an excellent opportunity to grow with the company and establish the methods and procedures that will be in place as we scale to production. Liquid crystal, chemistry, and optics backgrounds preferred, with a strong formal background in the processing, development, and testing of liquid crystal for electro-optical applications. The role involves all aspects of characterizing an electro-optic device, from incoming raw materials to system validation, as well as leading the continuous improvement cycle. The ideal candidate combines practical, hands-on experience in liquid crystal formulation, characterization, and quality control, with a focus on continuous improvement. We need someone with experience in electro-optics and liquid crystal display technologies, who will accelerate our path to process controls. Qualifications: Experience with processing, development, and testing of liquid crystals for electro-optical applications. Experience with liquid crystal characterization and modeling Experience with ASIC design Demonstrated success with improvement cycle: from root cause analysis to corrective action Experience with optics technologies, including imaging, illumination, and physical optics Experience with electrical characterization: impedance analyzers or IV Curve Tracers Experience with signal generation & measurement: time & frequency domain characterization Familiarity with optical materials and coatings, as well as their manufacturing techniques Highly organized with attention to detail Effective communication, both verbal and written. Must be able to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams. Requirements: Master’s or PhD. in Chemistry, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, EE, Physics, Optics, or related field BS with 5+ years of experience in related fields Travel requirement up to 15%.
