Project Engineer . This position focuses on roadway design and active transportation, with opportunities to work on challenging multimodal projects that make communities more livable and equitable. As a Project Engineer, you help design safer, more sustainable transportation networks. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver multimodal projects—from roadway reconstructions and streetscapes to signature trail projects—using tools like AutoCAD to produce high-quality plans. You will grow your project management skills while coordinating with clients and working on feasibility studies, concept plans, and construction documents. Your work helps make communities more connected and livable. Salary:

We are targeting a salary of

$110,000 to $120,000

for candidates with a PE for this position. Qualifications

Required A bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering A Professional Engineering (PE) license 5+ years of experience in a related field Experience developing construction documents, cost estimates, and specifications with a preference for experience at MassDOT, City of Boston, City of Cambridge, MBTA A broad knowledge base in civil engineering with a transportation focus and specific knowledge of horizontal and vertical roadway geometric design (MUTCD and AASHTO) Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D Working knowledge of Bluebeam and Microsoft Office applications Preferred Strong interest in multimodal and active transportation design, sustainability, and the opportunity to work on challenging projects that improve livability Proficiency in MicroStation Experience developing construction documents and cost estimates Experience preparing conceptual design plans Experience analyzing and designing stormwater infrastructure Work Schedule and Location

This full-time position typically follows a 40-hour work week with flexibility to work from home up to two days per week. Our Boston office is located in Downtown Crossing, adjacent to Boston Common, with easy access to major rapid transit lines and nearby train stations.
