Overview
A3 Technology, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Technical Writer/Editor to join our FAA team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, editing and revising strategy and concept documents, position papers, briefings, reports and special documentation associated with the Flight Information and Trajectory Based Operations into the Airspace System (NAS). Responsibilities
Review written materials for grammatical accuracy and stylistic consistency. Apply the FAA style guide and Plain guidance to ensure materials are consistent with both directives. Work with subject matter experts to verify technical accuracy. Create or modify deliverable document templates for the technical staff to populate. Review reports, presentations, and special documentation regarding organization, status, and progress. Qualifications
Extensive experience in reviewing and editing technical and non-technical documents and communications, and a strong understanding of the FAA style guide and Plain guidance. Excellent writing, organizational, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Knowledge of the FAA NextGen mission, specifically TBO and flight information management, will be highly advantageous. Education
Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing or Technology Management and 6-10 years relevant experience. Additionally, US Citizenship or documented proof of eligibility to work in the US is a must. Upon receiving a conditional offer of employment, candidates will undergo a Government investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for Government clearance. Verification of past employment, education and references is also required. It is imperative that candidates be either a US or a current green card holder with the last 3 consecutive years as a of the US. Salary range: $50,000 to $175,000. This range is provided as a general guideline and should not be interpreted as a guarantee of compensation. Actual salary offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. In addition, compensation may be influenced by applicable Federal Government contract labor categories and established contract wage rates.
