*CIVIL ENGINEER (ROADWAY/HIGHWAY DESIGN) *
Garg Consulting Services, Inc. (Garg) is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer for Roadway/Highway Design to join our team and oversee our construction projects. As a Civil Engineer, you'll play a critical role in ensuring that projects are executed efficiently, safely, and within budget.
*Responsibilities*
* *Design Expertise:* Utilize your civil engineering expertise to contribute to the design and planning phases of DOT roadway/highway design. * *Project Management:* Oversee and manage the execution of roadway/highway design projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. * *Construction Phase Services:* Provide construction-phase services and technical support during design-build or conventional delivery. * *Collaboration:* Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including architects, project managers, and other engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment. * *Client Interaction:* Engage with clients to understand their requirements, address concerns, and provide technical insights throughout the project life cycle. * *Regulatory Compliance:* Ensure that all projects comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
*Qualifications*
* Bachelors degree in civil engineering (ABET accredited preferred) * EIT Required. Professional Engineer License preferred. * Minimum of 3-8 years of experience with 3+ years of experience in roadway/highway design. * Proficiency in industry-standard design and analysis software including but not limited to AutoCAD, HydroCAD, StormCAD, Microstation, Revit. * Strong knowledge of CTDOT practices, techniques, codes, regulations, and standards. * Excellent communication and attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. * Proficiency in construction management software, Microsoft Office, and mobile devices for documentation and reporting purposes. * Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask. * 10 Hour OSHA * Physical ability to perform site visits and work in various weather conditions. * Must be detail-oriented, have excellent written and oral communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
