This geography covers downtown San Francisco, the East Bay out to Oakland, Marin County, up to the Oregon border, and surrounding areas. Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field, drive sales performance, manage the assigned territory and targeted accounts, build strong customer relationships, and apply customer needs solving capabilities to maximize short- and long-term sales performance with the patient at the center and in compliance with AbbVie\'s business code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws and regulations. Responsibilities
Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives to meet or exceed set goals. Create a pre-call plan using SMART objectives and perform post-call evaluation to continuously improve sales performance. Effectively handle objections and concerns to close on sales calls. Proactively address customer needs and expectations to build trusted relationships and achieve win-win agreements between AbbVie and customers. Develop and execute a call plan that achieves metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers to maximize access and sales opportunities. Build understanding of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease states, products, clinical and sales knowledge; share market intelligence with in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to align and optimize strategy. Differentiate AbbVie\'s value proposition with health providers; identify, develop, and maintain disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance. Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred or equivalent industry experience; high school diploma/GED + experience acceptable as noted. Relevant industry experience in lieu of a bachelor\'s degree: at least five (5) years, with three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred. Proven track record of sales success and strong presentation skills; ability to adapt to customer style and provide innovative ideas to maximize opportunities; demonstrates business impact and adaptability to change. Influences others and is regarded as a credible, respected resource; builds collaborative partnerships and leads by example in changing environments. Demonstrated leadership and ability to take on increased responsibility at district/region/organizational levels; uses findings to develop sales strategies. Preferred: sales success in the respective therapeutic areas; experience in physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing; English proficiency in speaking and writing for non-English-speaking locations. Must satisfy HCIR credentialing requirements to gain and maintain access to facilities in the territory; may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses. Strong scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge; recognized as an expert resource; solid business acumen and proficiency with business tools; able to operate effectively in a matrix environment. Valid driver\'s license; ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements. Ability to drive a personal vehicle or company car; may involve operating a powered piece of material handling equipment. Key Stakeholders

The compensation range described below is the range of base pay compensation the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at posting, based on the job grade. Individual compensation will depend on location and may be higher or lower than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. We offer a comprehensive benefits package including paid time off (vacation, holidays, sick leave), medical/dental/vision insurance, and a 401(k) for eligible employees. This job is eligible to participate in short-term incentive programs. Note: No amount of pay is considered wages or compensation until earned, vested, and determinable.
