Children’s Research Fund
* Coordinates department continuous quality improvement processes. Is accountable for purchasing of pharmaceuticals. Develops contracts (example: student/university affiliation contracts) related to departmental activities. Leads professional development activities. Participates in community activities consistent with the strategic plan. Ensures appropriate utilization of pharmaceuticals under the auspice of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.* Implement quality improvement initiatives and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).* Develops and maintains policies and procedures.* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards (e.g. CMS, DEA, IDFPR, Joint Commission). Coordinates record maintenance for clinical and legal requirements.* Oversee daily pharmacy operations including inpatient, 340B hospital and contract pharmacies, and specialty pharmacy services.* Manage pharmacy budgets, inventory, and procurement in alignment with cost-saving initiatives.* Plans and implements system changes that enhance the organizational performance. Drive standardization of pharmacy workflows and technology systems (e.g. automation, EHR integration).* Effectively leads and manages people resources.

Identifies collaborative partnerships with physicians to ensure the needs of patients are met.* Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.* Recruit, mentor, and evaluate pharmacy leadership team and staff.* Ensure adequate staffing, credentialing, ad licensure across all locations.* Performs job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers and others.* Graduate from an American Council of Pharmaceutical Education Accredited College of Pharmacy. Advanced degree required. Residency and/or specialized training in pediatrics preferred.* Registered pharmacist or eligible for licensure in the state of Illinois.* Minimum 5-years pharmacy management experience in a teaching hospital or equivalent experience.* Two years of experience at a leadership level.* Master’s in Business Administration (MBA), Healthcare Administration (MHA), or equivalent preferred.* Team building skills essential.
Must have good oral and verbal written communication and interpersonal skills.
